I am a print journalist and aspiring photojournalist based in Boston, with training in radio and video production. I hold Bachelor's degrees in English and Biology from Davidson College and a Master's degree in Science Writing from MIT. I have written stories for New Scientist, Harvard Magazine, MIT Tech Review, EMBLetc, and other online and print publications, and have performed at Storycollider in Boston. Originally from Los Angeles, CA, Cassandra Giraldo is an independent photojournalist based in Brooklyn, New York. She does daily assignment work in New York City where she works regularly for outlets including The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, among others. She graduated from Skidmore College in 2011 with a BA in International Affairs and French after which she completed the Photojournalism & Documentary Studies Program at the International Center of Photography in 2012. She speaks fluent French and is working to improve her family's native language, Spanish. I'm an Australian journalist living in New York City, covering culture, identity and the environment. Michael Premo is an artist, journalist and documentary storyteller. He has created, produced and presented original works of art and media with numerous companies including the Peabody Award winning StoryCorps. He’s a co-creator and Executive Producer of Sandy Storyline (www.sandystoryline.com), a participatory documentary that collects and shares stories about the impact of Hurricane Sandy on our neighborhoods, our communities and our lives. The project won the inaugural Transmedia Award from the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival. With Andrew Stern he shot and is producing/directing a photo exhibit and film called Water Warriors, documenting a Canadian First Nation's struggle to protect their water. Growing up as the daughter of a Catholic-Mexican mother and a Muslim-Palestinian father, I spent most of my childhood asking questions. My early travels between the Middle East and the United States, as well as the switch between three different languages at home, led to the passion I have for exploring the unknown and the constant curiosity of the world around me. For these reasons, international stories have become the main focus and goal in my career. The stories I like to hunt for are personal accounts of an issue, such as profiles, that show the bigger picture of social or global problems and changes. I also love hunting new cultural developments, like how an increased population of immigrants in certain areas has effected the culture of a society. Or the everyday life of a family that was displaced outside its home country because of a war or revolution. As a traveler myself, I am always in search of travel-stories.

I was born in the industrial city Chelyabinsk, Siberian part of Russia. My hometown made the headlines in 2013 as a city, where the Meteor fall down. I have a Bachelor degree in Journalism from Russia and a Master's degree in Journalism from City University of New York. Greetings. I am a filmmaker recently relocated to Brooklyn from Ventura, CA where I studied visual journalism at Brooks Institute. Though I enjoy creating short narratives and music videos, documentary is my passion. I get a great deal of satisfaction from exploring the world around me and by sharing the uncommon or overlooked aspects of humanity. I have worked on several short films involving the homeless, focusing on what it means to be human and a part of society. I have also began shooting for a doc feature about the serious pollution problems plaguing the air and the people of Salt Lake City, which was recently crowned the most polluted city in the world. I am also in preproduction for a documentary about the loss of culture through civilization in Mexico. Though the subjects and locations that I shoot vary greatly, I feel that each of these stories NEED to be communicated for the greater good of humanity. Tom Bentey is a Jersey boy made good. Tom grew up in Edison, New Jersey and spent his summers at the Jersey Shore. He studied English at Rutgers, and acted in several student films and plays. Tom’s new found passion for acting changed his path in life, as he went on to act in many Off-Broadway plays and independent films. After three years of being in front of the camera, Tom developed an interest in directing and began to write his own screenplays.Tom enrolled in the Masters of Arts program in Media Studies at The New School in New York City, to hone his newfound interest in the art and craft of filmmaking.
