For the last 20 years I have been working as a photojournalist, photo editor, video journalist, writer, publisher and multimedia editor for wire agencies, newspapers and television channels, with a wide range of topics within Nicaragua, the Central American region and the Caribbean. I am currently working as a photo editor in the Latin America Associated Press photo desk. As a multimedia pioneer I have lead the development of Nicaraguas first and foremost multimedia department. This multimedia department was until recently, the leader in the region. His first work “González, Falsos Profetas” (2014) won the best film award in the Fribourg International Film Festival 2015, best first film in Montreal 2104 and the Ícaro award for the best feature film in Guatemala 2014. Also the Pantalla de Cristal award for Best Screenplay in 2014. In the 11th Morelia FIlm Fest, Carlos Bardem and Harold Torres won the Best Actor award. Also had five nominations for the Ariel awards from the Mexican Academy of Film Arts and Sciences: Best First Work, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Screenplay and Best Sound. Currently he is post-producing his second feature film, “Sanguinetti”, and writing the screenplay for “Conspiracy”, his third work. He founded the film production company AWKACINE in 2016.

His works have been in different international festivals like the Semaine de la Critique in Cannes, Kustendorff and Raindance. In 2013 he is awarded with the Best Short Film Cinematography award in Ciudad Juarez Film festival for the film "The last veil". I am Mauricio Talamantes. I am a filmmaker working mostly for TV. In 2012 I produced, codirected, and shot NEGRO CIMARRÓN, a 30 min. documentary about Yanga, an african slave that founded the first free community in America recognized by the Spanish Crown, in the XVI century Veracruz. The work tells the story of this little known character while it reflects the situation of mexican afrodescendants and afromexican historry. NEGRO CIMARRÓN won a 3rd place prize by IMCINE (Mexico´s film institute) and INAH (Mexico´s Anthropology and History Institute). I´ve also directed commercial productions for E! Entertainment TV, ESPN, Sony Entertainment TV, and more, but my greatest passion in filmmaking are documentary movies. I would be very grateful to be part of this community of filmmakers that show the actuality of the world we live in.

I'm a formed musician but I've decide to take myself closer to film. So I studied photography. Time after collaborate on media advertising agencies and media contet producers. Now a days I'm one of the founders of Central 16. My work has been around documentary and sports. I've developed myself as a Photographer, but always gettinf hand on field, as a result I've learned new skills. I've been collaborating as a producer and director. Recently released my first documentary called Path, shoot at NY and finished in Mexico city. Hi, I'm Santiago Casillas and i'm a multitask guy! I've been working in video production around 4-5 years. I work with a production company called With a Smile Films that resides in Mexico City. My work experience follows several things: i'm capable of operating some cameras, not all of course but i'm very passionate and i learn very fast, i'm very efficient as a soundman, also a cautious drone operator but very precise. Meghan Dhaliwal (b. 1990) is a freelance photojournalist, editor, researcher, writer and multimedia producer based in Mexico City, MX--her español es muy malo, pero ella está aprendiendo. Her work has appeared in Foreign Policy, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Global Post and The Huffington Post. She is a two-time Pulitzer Center grantee. She has a special interest in covering public health issues that arise as a consequence of conflict or natural disaster. Prior to her freelance career, Meghan was the Multimedia Projects Coordinator at the Pulitzer Center in Washington, DC. During her 2.5 year run on staff, she designed e-books, curated exhibitions, spoke at schools and universities across the country, worked with youth programs, and worked as a grantee for two projects: one in Haiti and one in Afghanistan. I've lived and worked as a journalist in Mexico for three years. Three years of writing news and feature stories from every corner of the country, filing short and long stories about politics, immigration, trade, oil&gas, aztec culture, food and crime. My work has appeared in various outlets such as The Guardian, Le Monde, Time, FT, Slate, Monocle, Raconteur and The American Lawyer. These days I mostly write for French daily Le Figaro as their Mexico correspondent. I studied Cinema and Television at CENTRO and literature at “Escuela Dinámica de Escritores”. I'm one of the founding members of “Colectivo Detona”, a group of filmmakers dedicated to making documentaries, the diffusion of film culture and educational projects. I was scriptwriter and assistant director at the full length documentaries “Vestiges of paradise) (2012) and “Transit” (2014), which where shown in national and international festivals. As a film programmer I did “¡BOOM!” in Centro Vlady in collaboration of the UACM university. I have published film critics at the magazine “La Tempestad”. My most important project to the moment is the fiction film called “Aimee”, which was completed in the beginning of 2015 and is currently looking for spaces of diffusion. Its a thriller about the dark side of the unconscious.

This is me, Alexis Astorga. Im from Mexico, I was born in Durango but nowadays I live in Guadalajara Jalisco. Im always looking for different ways to say my messages since photography, social campaigns and video documentary. The kind of stories that I love to shoot are those ones where I could do something to help society and the people involved. Soy egresado de la Maestría en Cinematografía con especialidad en Guión por la Universidad de Guadalajara, antes estudié Negocios en la misma Universidad. Me dedico a la producción audiovisual en proyectos tanto de ficción como de documental desde hace trece años. Actualmente trabajo en la post-producción del cortometraje documental "Anclado". Así como en el desarrollo del largometraje documental "Derecho de playa". Ambos tienen lugar en las playas de Jalisco, y este último tiene como protagonistas a los miembros de las Cooperativas de Pescadores de la región. Estoy convencido de que el creador audiovisual debe estar dispuesto y comprometido a hablar de la realidad que le rodea, tomando las historias que de ella emanan para contarlas de forma directa a través del documental o bien para dar origen a historias de ficción sustentadas en la realidad.
