I have been associated with Print journalism since 2000 and worked for renowned publications of Pakistan. During my journalistic career I have e covered variety of issues based upon human angles, strategic issues , environmental, health , economy , political affairs etc. Below is my cv which highlights my work experience with different media organisations. Journalism Experience: Bol News English Weekly Working as a senior reporter with Bol News English Weekly since November 2021. Have covered numerous news items of national interest. Responsible to cover various tasks, assigned by the Editor. Pak Chronicle Worked as an Editor of a news website named as Pak Chronicle (pakchronicle.com) since January 2019. Have produced and edited quality content for the aforementioned website singlehandedly. The Express Tribune (Islamabad) Started working for The Express Tribune on January 14, 2016 till October 2018. During this period covered major beats like the National Assembly, the NAB the Ministry of Interior and its allied departments including NADRA, FIA etc. Filed several exclusive stories on terrorism related matters besides filing numerous human interest stories concerning common citizens. During this stint I also covered many standing committees of the National Assembly and the Senate. The News International Joined the newspaper on July 1st, 2005 as a staff reporter for its Karachi office (head office) and continued working for it till January, 2016. During this period worked within numerous beats for the newspaper. Initially I was assigned to cover lower courts which included session courts, NAB courts and ATC (Anti-Terrorism Courts). Later on I worked within beats such as NADRA, NARA, ethnic minorities, labour unions and commodity issues such as the vegetable market and others. I have covered the issues of the cantonment boards in Karachi as well. Moreover I have also worked on various political parties including Jamat-e-Islami, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf) PTI and some others. I also worked for some years at the Investigative Cell of the organization for which I was responsible to work on special assignments and stories assigned by the editor. I also wrote a weekly column by the name of ‘Gali Kooche’ in which I highlighted the problems of the different areas of Karachi. I have also received many appreciation letters from the Editor, The News, for my stories. Daily Jur'rat January 2004 Worked as a business reporter. My beats included banking, shipping, the cotton market and the stock market. I was required to file one story every day. I filed some exclusive stories as well in these beats. The News International October 2002-March 2004 Worked with The News in its Karachi office (head office) as a business correspondent. I worked under the business editor and covered assigned beats. The beats that I worked on included cotton, agriculture-related issues, ports and shipping and communications particularly the Pakistan Railways. I filed a number of exclusive stories in addition to regular beat reporting. I reported on issues related to the environment as well as on micro-economic matters. Daily Pakistan February-July 2002 Worked as a business reporter in which I covered a wide range of business related issues for the paper. Since the number of business reporters was very limited, the scope of reporting was very wide. I also did some human interest stories related to business. The Star July 2000-January 2002 Worked on capital markets and reported for this eveninger. My work included reporting on a daily basis the working of the Karachi Stock Exchange. For this, I have built contacts with brokers, investors and analysts and have gotten their comments to add value to my reports. Education: Bachelors of Arts from the University of Peshawar (1996). In this degree course, I have studied English language and literature.
