I am a multimedia journalist and artist living in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. I shoot and edit photography and video, and collaborate with writers and artists on a wide range of productions. Two video projects Ive worked on have been nominated for Webbys, and my work has also been honored with awards from POYi, FotoWeek DC, PIEA, and more .For about 3 years, I worked as a multimedia producer at The New Yorker, where I created videos and audio slideshows from start to finish, garnering millions of combined views. I was honored and humbled by the range of opportunities that has been afforded to me in this role at one of the best magazines in the country. I worked on videos featuring Woody Allen, Ai Wei Wei, and Daphne Guinness, and on projects spanning in topic matter from human rights in Burma to baby turtles. I currently work in New York City as a Production Assistant for The STOSSEL Show at Fox Business Network. I graduated from the University of Montana in the United States with a degree in Spanish and Journalism and a minor in Latin American Studies. I speak fluent Spanish and have a keen understanding of indigenous life in South and Central America. While studying, I took a trip to Mexico that defined my future career goals. I made my own documentary (filmed, edited, translated and produced single-handedly) about the misconceptions Americans have about Mexicans and the misconceptions Mexicans have about moving to America. I live in Washington Heights and try to surround myself in Latin American culture as much as possible. I feel like there are many misconceptions Americans and Latin Americans have about each other and I am passionate about exploring those.

Shahryar Shahamat is an Iranian-born artist, videojornalist and editor residing in Brooklyn , New York since 2010. At the age of 18, he entered the professional world as an assistant director working alongside well-known filmmakers and theatre directors in Iran. He worked as a video journalist at the Voice of America’s Persian service from 2011 to 2014 and is currently working as a freelancer videojornalist. My name is Dan. I'm a former Midwesterner and a current New Englander. I've had years of experience making nonfiction and fiction narrative cinema, and I've also been involved in sports production and producing for public television in my home state of Nebraska. On a fundamental level, my work work aims to examine the deeply intertwined relationships between human culture and the physical environments in which we make our homes. I'm particularly interested in intimately human stories: Those that find and highlight the beauty within the quotidian. Currently, I'm employed as a video production specialist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, and I'm in preproduction on a short poetic documentary about adolescent life on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.

Jika González is an award-winning documentary filmmaker from Mexico City. She is based in New York where she works as a freelance cinematographer and producer. Chris Manley studied anthropology and theater in college. He views anthropology as the study of the human condition from the outside and theater as that study from within. After college Chris became enamored with the way a camera could tell a story and highlight specific aspects of life. He has always enjoyed a lighter take on life. He leans toward finding the comedy in existence. He started out his visual storytelling career as a writer and performer. Hello there, my name is Krysti Sabins and I am a photographer, videographer, and all around explorer. I have always been interested in sharing unique perspectives and causes I am passionate about. On my own, I began a YouTube video series entitled "Unboring Exploring" with the intention of sharing my hiking and outdoor adventures with friends, family, and beyond. The series allows me to share my experiences so others can appreciate what I personally find important while becoming more aware of the natural world. Sarah Ginsburg grew up in the magical Midwest town of Columbia, Missouri. She went on to study Film Production at Emerson College in Boston, which is where she lives and works as a filmmaker today. She edited for the award-winning interactive Hollow and shot and edited for Boston-based interactive Wander, Wonder, Wilderness. Sarah recently finished shooting and editing a feature documentary titled Best and Most Beautiful Things. She wandered into the audio world and started a podcast with Elaine Sheldon that features women working in media. The podcast is called She Does and is now part of Panoply, Slate's podcasting network. I am a digital journalist + video producer, also Adjunct Professor of Digital Media at the Columbia Journalism School. I also work for mobile video startup Videolicious helping train newbie video producers on how to tell good video stories with smartphones. I'm most interested in telling non-narrated character-driven stories about people or things on a small scale. I once spent two days following a college freshman from West Virginia through her first trip to NYC, to compete in the muggle Quidditch (yeah, like Harry Potter) World Cup. It was awesome. I also have aspirations to work on a bigger project with more sweeping scope, dealing with an important social justice issue like poverty, class or education. Not sure what that might look like yet, but I'm excited to figure it out!
