I covered a brewing humanitarian crisis along the Pakistan-Iran border, a source of earnings for hundreds of thousands of families along the Pakistan and Iran frontiers. After Pakistani authorities closed the border, hundreds of fuel carriers got stuck, and three died of thirst and hunger in the scorching heat.

I covered a suicide attack on the Chinese culture center by ethnic Baloch separatists in Pakistan’s southern port city of Karachi on April 26 for Al Jazeera. I reported and analyzed the change in strategy of Baloch separatist militants with inputs from regional security experts. Moreover, I wrote a brief profile of the first Baloch woman suicide bomber in history of the Baloch insurgency.
I followed threats to exiled Pakistani dissidents on the street of Europe after a paid hitman attempted to kill a Pakistani blogger living in exile in the Netherlands. I discovered there were more than a dozen exile activists who were being threatened by Pakistani security agencies on western soil.
