Request QuoteI was born in Mexico City in 1983. Inspired by Wim Wenders, I studied Philosophy as a degree to become a filmmaker. I then studied filmmaking in Paris in the École Superiéure d´études cinématographiques (L´ESEC) and specialized in documentary filmmaking, My final project was a documentary I co-directed on love and sensuality in the elderly. I then studied a Masters in Communication at The National University in Mexico (UNAM). Since film school I´ve been directing anthropological documentaries in Mexico, I´ve written and filmed short films, one of which I shot in Berlin while I lived there as an exchange student. I´ve also worked as a script girl, a cinematographer and as an independent photographer. Currently I´m directing a documentary on Germany and Mexico, where I follow 5 PHD students studying in Berlin and Mexico City. I´m also preparing my first feature film and applying for a scholarship for a documentary on one of the merchant leaders in the Tepito market in Mexico City.
This documentary tells the story of a communities in Cuajimalpa in Mexico City that work on saving programs to improve their infrastructure and this also has an impact on the role of the women inside the family.
This documentary makes a portrait of the traditions of 5 different ordinary communities in different parts of the city. It also shows the impact of the urbanization projects have had in these communities. An example of this is the construction of a new metro line which destroyed important planting zones but made transport time shorter.
This documentary was my thesis at film school. Set in Paris the film is about love and sensuality in the elderly. I co-wrote and co- directed this film and also did part of the cinematography.
