About
I am Tife Owolabi,a Nigerian,born on 22 of May,1977,and married with one kid. I have stint for journalism which made the Nigerias foremost news and awarding winning Television Station CHANNELS TELEVISION to offered me a job as a cameraman in 2005 after covering an exclusive story of a teenage boy that was lynched and burnt alive by some angry mob for allegedly attempting to kidnap of a toddler in Surulere, Lagos and was later sent to the volatile the oil rich Niger Delta region because of my unequal attitude towards journalism. Owing to my desire to develop nose for news reporting in the Niger Delta region, DAAR COMMUNICATIONS PLC operators of Africa independent television and Raypower (a radio station) offered me employment as a reporter in 2007,when it started its local transmission in Bayelsa state southern Nigeria. It was with that zeal that REUTERS NEWS AGENCY NIGERIA BUREAU approached me as a stringer on the oil rich delta region story, which am still holding to. I resigned in 2010 from Daar Communications Plc to pursue a career in freelancing because of political influence in the Nigeria Media, which is still emerging.
