About

David Muponda, aged 36, I was raised by strict parents who did not believe children must watch TV or films. Storytelling took central stage at home. As a young man, I have had a strong passion for the camera. It fascinates me. I started off using VHS camera at the age of 14 then went on to use High 8. I then turned professional. Since then I have worked on different projects from social to commercial filming. I have been engaged on shorts, drama, feature and documentary film making. In this part of the world where funding has been hard to come by, I have had to go out of my way to mobilize resources to produce the most of my productions. This has seen most of my ideas which were on paper coming to light. Through the lens of a camera I love to explore on my surroundings, connecting the untold story and that of the marginalized people.
