More than half a million Syrian refugees live in host communities in Jordan and there are tensions between the locals and the refugees. This social cohesion programme by GFP and UNICEF aims at fostering relationships and understanding between the youth of these communities to build better futures and reduce conflict.

Rashid hopes to pave the way for others who want to follow in her footsteps. “When a woman is empowered, society is empowered,” she says.
Movies have always been part of Afghanistan’s rich culture. In the 1990s the Taliban destroyed countless reels of film dating back to the 1920s. Some brave people working in Afghan Film at the time hid many reels from the Taliban. And now archivists at Afghan Film Archive are working to restore and digitize these hidden reels.
