I'm a video journalist based in Chicago, IL. I currently work as a producer and on-air contributor for You & Me This Morning, a morning show airing weekdays 6 to 9 a.m. on WCIU. Before joining WCIU, I worked for 2 1/2 years as a reporter for DNAinfo Chicago, an award-winning neighborhood news website. I've also produced videos for Al Jazeera Plus, Monocle, and Bill Moyers. Countering Stop and Frisk with a Street Education
The American Civil Liberties Union released a report this week revealing the Chicago Police Department's use of controversial stop and frisk tactics, which typically target black men, far outpace the NYPD's. One group, First Defense Legal Aid, has street reps who canvas the streets on the south and west sides of the city to educate young black men of their rights (if they're stopped by police).

Young Sanders Supporters Sell-Out Comedy Club to Video Chat with Bernie
Next Wednesday, July 29th, Steve Plock will host a sold-out event of more than 300 young Chicagoans interested in volunteering for Sanders' presidential campaign. Plock said he will fill up the comedy club's standing room before turning people away. Bernie himself will video conference into the meeting midway through the two-hour meet up. Plock is in his mid-20's and is in a band.
