Request QuoteAlexandra Bas is a Mexico City based cinematographer from Venezuela, ICFC member, with experience in narrative and documentary films; currently working in several projects of music videos and commercials in the mexican industry. Among her short films highlights "Daughter Whore", which was part of the International Competition of Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2013 (qualifier for the annual Academy Awards®), also selected in 18 international film festivals, where it was awarded 4 international awards and 6 on the national level. Alexandra participated as cinematographer in the short film "Eva" Official Selection in three category A Film Festivals at 2015: Moscow International Film Festival (World Premiere), Mar de Plata Film Festival and Montreal World Film Festival/Student Film Festival. Alexandra was one of the cinematographers selected for TALENTS BUENOS AIRES 2014 and then, she participated in the project KINOMADA Lanaudière 2015 in Canada, where she filmed the cinematography for three short films with several Latino American directors: "Aquel martes de Otoño" by Jeremy Hatcher (Chile), "Salitre" by Lara Belov (Brazil) & Carlos Mendoza (Mexico) and, "Le dicen amor" by Paulina Dana (Argentina). In Algeria, she filmed the documentary feature film "Cilima" by Aissa Djouamaa, shooting at the same time three narrative short films with different directors as part of the same project. In Mexico City, she made the cinematography of the short films: “Mateo” by Fernando Pérezgil, Official Selection in Trieste Science+Fiction Festival 2019 and nominated to Best Cinematography in Pantalla de Cristal Awards 2019; as well as “Un mundo raro” by Eugenia Llaguno, currently in post production. Alexandra was one of the Facultad de Cine’s founder teachers, where she taught Cinematography I. Among her future projects is the narrative feature film “Sembradoras” by the colombian director Christian Mejía, whose teaser was filmed in the Chilean desert.

I needed some extra b-roll at the end of this project. Alexandra shot the footage I needed, shot it well, and delivered the next day. A talented videographer. I'd hire her again.
SINAMAICA is an art documentary where you will meet David, Esther and Serena, three children who live in Sinamaica, a wooden town over water. I immersed inside this remote place and met their lifestyle and culture.
