I was a multimedia journalist for over 6 years until the downsizing finally reached me. I then fell into union/non-profit video storytelling. I've used my journalism skills to tell the stories of members and the communities served by the non-profits. Along the way I've become knowledgeable about labor issues affecting public employees, healthcare for the uninsured and the true cost of government cuts to the citizens. The stories I hunt for are the underdogs fighting the system, the effects of the economic recovery on those still without jobs and the growth of the entrepreneurial spirit in low-income communities.
