I am a media professional with seven years of field experience as a producer, shooter, and editor, working on breaking news and feature stories in more than eight countries in Latin America, as well as, in the United States. I have covered important regional stories such as the Haiti earthquake aftermath, the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Hugo Chavez’s death, the 10 year anniversary of 9/11, the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, recent slum takeovers in Rio de Janeiro, and countrywide protests in Brazil in 2013.
I hold a Master degree in International Human Rights from the University of Denver and have a strong background working for NGOs and International Cooperation Agencies. Besides English, I am fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
