The opportunities for new ways of seeing, human connection, and deep emotion get me every time. I’ve worked my way up through camera department and studied the art of vérité cinematography so I can help directors translate their story concepts into elevated imagery while allowing non-actors to feel at ease. Production - On the day, I’m listening for story while rolling, and any changes needed on the fly. Camp Together is a therapeutic intensive weekend for families who have experienced trauma. I filmed their inaugural camp weekend as well as an interview with their Director of Clinical Family programs to help create this piece showcasing their work. Director: Ashley West
"Heroes of Carentan" from Documentary First is a poignant documentary (currently in post) that chronicles the indomitable spirit and unwavering bravery of the 101st Airborne Division soldiers who, in early June 1944, fought valiantly to liberate the town of Carentan, France. I traveled with the crew to Normandy for principal photography, serving as B Camera operator for interviews and 2nd Unit DP for reenactments.
June Carter Cash was a legend hiding in plain sight. This feature film unearths her story of talent, ambition, heartbreak and loyalty. Our Nashville-based unit, headed by DP Nathan Thompson, was responsible for filming multiple interviews, scenics, and broll to blend with the archival footage. GSMIDTN wanted to celebrate the return to scouting activities following the pandemic and recruit new scouts. We spent two days filming camp activities, troop meetings, and interviews with scouts, moms, and staff to create the piece you see here. Director: Kelsey Kenny
