Josh Kim is a Korean-American filmmaker whose debut feature, How to Win at Checkers (Every Time), premiered in the Berlinale Panorama in 2015. It was selected as the Thai entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 88th Academy Awards.
Born in Texas, Kim started production as an intern at NPR in Washington DC and later moved to CNN in Hong Kong.
In 2010, he worked as an Associate Producer on the Korean remake of John Woo's A Better Tomorrow and has since directed videos for Google, The Wall Street Journal and Elite Models.
Recently, he founded a micro-documentary web-series project called Google Glass Diaries which documents the lives of people around the world through their own POV.
