My name is Christina Brown and I am a military veteran and Emmy award-winning broadcast journalist, based in New York City. Last week, I discovered Storyhunter.tv through Eric Paternot, when he spoke to my video story telling class at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, where I am a MS student, specializing in documentary film-making. Most recently, I developed, co-created and was the host of the international talk show, "Our Take," a news and lifestyle show featuring people and stories related and of interest to women, of the African diaspora, that aired on Arise Media Networks, (arise.tv). I was a network news anchor and correspondent for NBC News and MSNBC cable network, but before embarking on a career in broadcast news I spent several years in the U.S. Air Force. I'm most interested in covering issues that affect military veterans and women. My print articles and opinion pieces have appeared in the Huffington Post & I'm currently developing a docu-series about returned veterans' adjustment to life back at home.
