From editing to producing, Christopher Long has worked in production in a multitude of positions. With over 10 years of experience, he’s worked on everything from small web videos, to feature films.
A University of Tulsa graduate in Film Studies and Creative Writing, Christopher was selected as one of three U.S. representatives for World Interplay, and international playwriting festival held in London and Australia. His first foray into film was the feature-length film Freaky Faron serving as an Associate Producer and on set production assistant. From there he found a job immediately out of college as an editor for Flying Colors Media, accumulating skills as a writer and director for commercials and documentaries leading to his first short film Unknown State.
Breaking out on his own, he has continued working as a freelancer, being hired on with large ad agencies to assistant direct and produce commercial spots as well as being hired as an Assistant Director and 2nd 2nd AD on films such as V/H/S: Viral, Starbright and Mekko, a feature film by Sterlin Harjo, that has played numerous festivals including the Toronto International Film Festival, the Stockholm Film Festival in Sweden and the Los Angeles Film Festival.
He and Director of Photography, Charles Elmore, also own and operate Rough House Creative, a production company in Tulsa, OK where they work on a variety of commercials, short films, documentary projects and music videos with pieces showing at Sundance and South by Southwest. Currently, Christopher is in post-production on the short film Can I Ride With You?, with other shorts and documentaries being scripted, and developing a web series on architecture and design in Oklahoma.
