Holly Fischer is a New York City-based cinematographer and director. A storyteller at heart, she has created documentary, narrative and commercial work in the US and internationally. As in-house Director of Photography for Refinery29 (2017 to 2020) she crafted the visual style of several ground-breaking editorial series — including the online phenomena ‘Hair Me Out’ and ‘Beauty with Mi’ — along with content for global brands such as Adidas, Chanel, Porsche and Target. In 2021 she joined VICE Media Group as Director of Photography, working across a broad palette of globally renown content, including ‘Overlooked’, ‘I Was There’, ‘The Story Of’, ‘Street Food Icons’, ‘Munchies’, ‘Side Hustles’ and ‘Local Legends’. Holly also DOP’s independent narratives and feature documentaries. ‘Black As U R’ (2022, directed by Micheal Rice) received the highly prestigious ‘Panavision Award: Outstanding Feature’ and was named ‘Most Outstanding Documentary Feature’ at the 4th Micheaux Film Festival.
