Stanley Okonye, joined the Africa Desk of TRT World in November 2017 as a Planning Producer. He is an accomplished Television News Producer and newsroom manager. He worked with some of the major television stations in Nigeria including TVC News where he played a role in the startup of the local station in 2007 as the first News Editor and newsroom manager. He also contributed to the takeoff of the International arm, TVC News Africa in 2012 where he managed the Output Desk overseeing the coverage of A list events on the continent including the Westgate Attack in Kenya and the burial of Nelson Mandela in 2013. He was a field producer for TVC News Africa at the Africa Union Summits in 2016 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and Kigali, Rwanda as well as the 2016 Ghana presidential election. He coordinated the coverage of 2011 and 2015 general elections in Nigeria for TVC News

Congolese born, raised in France, I have been a journalist for over 15 years. My career started in France where I worked with different radio and TV channels(Africa N1, RFI, RTL, FRANCE O, TV5 MONDE, ARTE) , continued in the US where I joined the French to Africa desk for three years. I arrived in Kinshasa during the presidential electoral campaign in November 2018, as a correspondent for VoA. I  work with the Francophone desk, lingala desk and English to Africa desk. I  mainly fully produce TVpackages for different VoA shows both in French in English. I also participate in live hits, and produce radio pieces.(French English and Lingala).
