MWANIKI NJACHE- SHORT BIO Nick Njache is a Kenyan Director, Screenwriter, Actor and Producer in a career spanning almost two decades, he has had the great opportunity to work in both international and local productions including working as an assistant director (Kenya) for the award-winning international production “The Constant Gardner”, “Africa Mon Amour” and “Die Patriachen” for German televions. His Kenyan directorial full feature film debut “By Any Means Necessary” won Best Actress in The Kenya International Film Festival. His short film “Victim?” was nominated for best short film in the Kalasha Film Festival 2009. He directed the movie “Kidnapped” which premiered in Kenyan Theatres on the 6th of July 2017; Kidnapped was nominated for 7 awards and won best script in the Kalasha Film Festival of 2018. He has directed numerous TV commercials and TV series, full seasons like Mashtaka for Citizen TV, Mwangaza for KTN and many directorial cameos in several others. He directs for the stage and has worked as an actor/director/writer in numerous stage productions. In 2019 he won a space for a mentorship program with Docubox Kenya and directed “My Friend Ngige” a documentary on mental health. He is a director of Take Nine Limited, working in the film, media and creative arts space. He believes that leaning is a constant in life.
