Resulting footage is great - up to spec, the communication and planning could have been a notch better though
A documentation of KNH's "Dialogue Works" campaign in Kabwe, Zambia. The film tells a (day in life) story of a child participating in the campaign. The story in Zambia is cut together with stories from two other children from India and Peru. The linking element is the artwork, the children produce for the film. It is a painting with a brush or spray cans or similar of "Art. 12" (This is the article in the UN Convention on the rights of the child which is the right of participation).
#WE4F innovator, Palmworth Investments, runs a closed-loop farm where their biogas system generates bio-slurry which is sold to farmers as organic fertilizer. The innovator trains farmers to run an integrated system such as this to produce more food. Smallholder farmers in Zimbabwe struggle with productivity on their land typically due to low soil fertility among other factors. Combining crop production with livestock management in a complementary way can maximize resource utilization.
An interview with Zimbabwe's Director of the Department of Economic Affairs in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development. This was fast turn around interview shot in Harare with coordination from Washington DC. It was a great experience and pleasure to work with the IMF team. Video shot on BlackMagic in 4K 3840 x 2160 ProRes LT.

Mbire district is a remote transfrontal community at the border of Zimbabwe with Mozambique and Zambia which also creates a gateway into Malawi at the far end. It is home to wildlife, fewer than 100 000 indigenous people - mostly the Doma people also known as the ostrich people. They are a remnant of the nomadic hunter gatherers of the past who have shied from civilisation and continue to live in the bushes. Some of them who have now assimilated into the surrounding communities and have started practising modern ways of survival, amongst them health seeking behaviors such as the use of vaccines. However because of the remoteness some of the places, mothers still have to travel vast distances by foot to access medicines. My story aims to 'walk in their shoes' for a day as they walk to a clinic with their children on their backs and witness first hand as they narrate their stories - how as a reclusive community are dealing with health issues, the challenges they face and how they are winning towards immunity.
WE4F is an international initiative that aims to address global challenges related to food security, climate change, and poverty by supporting innovations at the intersection of water, energy, and food production. This innovator helps rural farmers by making biogas systems available on a pay-as-you-go scheme. Their systems help farmers gain access to energy more affordably and help increase food production through bio-slurry. Commissioned by Tetra Tech for photography and filming.
