Director, Screenwriter, Filmmaker SIMONA COCOZZA (Naples 1976) graduated in Cinema History & Criticism, at the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy of the University of Bologna, DAMS. After many experiences on movie sets as script girl, in 2003 she debuts as director with the short "Fresca di bucato". Selected from many national and international festivals, this short had a lot of awards and honorable mentions. In 2007 she founded Giallomare Film in Rome, an independent film production company which realized about 400 of audiovisual works and boasts large eminent cooperations as Greenpeace, Amnesty International, MSF Médecins sans frontières, Telethon, Change.org, Refugees Welcome Italy, LAV. Simona is also focused on authorial projects: 3 feature documentary films, and 8 fiction shorts, entered in competition in worldwide festivals. She also directed several works broadcasted on italian TV: RAI, Mediaset, MTV, Real Time, and many other. Special event at Granada Cines del Sur Festival; theatrical released in Italy and Spain. 2011 "Our Daily Bad” (36') RAI NEWS. Special Award “Excellence of the South” 2009 "Over The Rainbow” (80') RAI 3 / SKY. Co-direction with Maria Martinelli. First Prize at Napoli Film Festival; Screened at The Senate of Italian Republic; theatrical released in Italy.
