The film is based on a true story - A woman from the Eastern Cape who was diagnosed with a disease and kept it as a secret from her family. The disease ended up spreading to her family, and she watched the disease taking the lives of the people she loved the most (Her husband and daughter).
The film centers around the life of a 15 year old boy, Samuel Van Wyk. Sam had lost his father in a car accident last year and is now left to live with his abusive stepfather and ill mother, who has stage 4 lung cancer. As a way of coping with his father's death, Sam decided to join a gang (TRIPLE 7) and turn to a life of crime and addiction.
