When something, someone, or somewhere peaks my interest I try to find out as much as I can about it so that I can share that person or place or thing with the world through beautiful images and sound. I have a Masters degree in multi-platform journalism from the University of Maryland and have my B.A. in environmental studies from Dickinson College. After 7 years of life on the east coast, I returned to my home state of Colorado. I live Denver and love to cover the kind of stories that my neighbors here in Denver and across the front range know and care about. This story profiles the Goucher College chapter of the Food Recovery Network, an organization working to change these statistics by donating leftover food from dining halls at over 60 colleges and universities across the country.
Cystic Fibrosis is a chronic disease that affects 30,000 children and adults in the United States. This story profiles the Wikers, a family working to overcome the obstacles associated with Cystic Fibrosis. The two youngest Wikers, 3-year-old twins Camden and Mallory, were diagnosed with the disease when they were only 2 months old. Video produced for ViewFinder.
