Combining a genuine connection to people with my careful craft in constructing stories, I produce emotionally engaging work. I enjoy complicating and deepening how we see ourselves as Africans. My career has taken me across the African continent, as well as to the Middle East and the United States working with organisations including Vice News, Al Jazeera English, France24, TRT World, the Music In Africa Foundation, Public Radio International and eNews Channel Africa. I have a Masters in Journalism from Columbia University in New York. In 2017, together with partner Nick Alexandra, I co-founded Seithati Media, an audio-visual storytelling company producing film, video, television, and audio content. We have done work for clients including the UN Human Rights Office, Amnesty International, Goethe Institut, Music In Africa Foundation, Motsepe Foundation and Global Citizen. Among the many things they lack, access to quality healthcare is a struggle.Tired of waiting for outside help, the community has built the first hospital in the area.
In South Africa, charities are filling in the gaps in a healthcare system stretched by the pandemic. A humanitarian organisation has now stepped in to provide life-saving machines to people for free. Ntshepeng Motema brings us the report.

The country recently unveiled the first hydrogen powered heavy duty truck to be used in platinum mining. The innovation has been led by Anglo American mining company which extracts 40% of the world’s platinum in South Africa’s Limpopo province. Ntshepeng Motema reports.
Charities are filling in the gaps in the country's healthcare system which has been tested by the strain of the COVID-19 pandemic. At the peak of the third wave in Gauteng province doctors were having to choose who lives or dies because of the shortage of beds and oxygen in hospitals. A humanitarian organisation has stepped in to provide life-saving machines to people for free. They've also partnered with doctors in one area of Johannesburg to run a night clinic.
