Request QuoteI love to create compelling stories that empower people to take action and make a social impact. I created my first video when I was in high school. In college, I produced a 30-minute documentary about undocumented students struggling to pay for higher education. Since then, I have produced videos for local and national non-profit organizations to help them drive their campaigns about immigration, LGBTQ rights, HIV education and stigma, economic and racial inequality, animal rights, mass incarceration, police brutality and, most recently, healthcare access. As a filmmaker, I understand the importance in capturing genuine and visceral footage while making people feel comfortable. I have over 7 years of experience in documentary video production and editing. I have also worked as a Social Media video producer and reached millions of people on social media through my videos. I’m comfortable working as a one-person crew or in a collaborative team. Additionally, I am a highly organized and collaborative individual. I have learned from experience that organization is key to successfully navigate small and complex projects. For example, I traveled to Puerto Rico as a one-person crew to cover the debt crisis affecting health services, education and businesses on the island. I left California with only two-story leads and carrying three bags of cameras and audio equipment. Over the next six days, I researched, investigated and recorded 27 interviews, including footage. Upon my return, I worked closely with my post-production team and I edited a bilingual standalone piece on the education crisis which reached over 6.9 million views on Facebook and provided a platform for thousands of people, including Senator Bernie Sanders, to engage in profound dialogue. As a queer and immigrant content creator, I have gained significant experience working with different video styles and diverse communities. My experience would make me a strong team player to complete your video production and editing needs. I welcome the opportunity to further discuss my qualifications for your project.

Hedge funds that profit off of the misery of places like Puerto Rico are raking in massive dollars by forcing schools to close and making education unaffordable.
