Born and bred in NYC kevin Amato began his career as a fine art, lifestyle and COMMERCIAL photographer. A GRADUATE OF NYC'S SCHOOL OF VISUAL ARTS. Photographing for publications such as I-D, COMPLEX, TIME, DAZED AND CONFUSED, OUT, INTERVIEW, ESSENCE, ROLLING STONE, ESPN, NYLON, XXL, 032C TO NAME A FEW. And commercial clients such as NIKE, ADIDAS, SONY, DIESEL, CONVERSE, HOOD BY AIR, FEAR OF GOD, SSENSE, OPENING CEREMONY, PACSUN to name a few. Most notable are Amato's collaborations with underground and emerging fashion designers globally. As well as his Photographic series of Bronx youth subcultures and Travis Scott's "RODEO" album cover and artwork. Using the same lifestyle and reportage approach in his photographs, Amato began photographing and casting for fashion brand Hood By Air in 2007. Later becoming the brands's visual and brand director. Breaking the barriers of traditional marketing and casting direction.. Representing the underrepresented. ​ "A conduit between the runway and the real world: both divining rod and den mother" New york times ​ ​ Amato has casted campaigns and runway shows for NIKE, MTV, KITH, BAND OF OUTSIDERS, VFILES, JOYRICH, LUAR ZEPOL, HOOD BY AIR, BARNEYS, ADIDAS to name a few. Throughout his career Amato has been credited with discovering and developing emerging talent such as Actor/Model Luka Sabot, Influencer/Stylist Bloody Osiris Photographer RaysCorruptedMind and Model/Actress Hari Nef to name a few. ​ ​ Amato's PHOTOGRAPHY work has been exhibited throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. He has published two books of his photographic work. ​ IN 2014 AMATO RELEASED "COZY" BOOK AND POP UP SHOP. WITH THE SUPPORT OF VIRGIL ABLOH AND SHANYE OLIVER. COLLABORATIONS INCLUDED OFF WHITE, HOOD BY AIR, LUAR ZEPOL AND AMBUSH.
