Md Inteajer E Jahan Uday popularly known as "Uday Bangali" was born in Jamalpur District. While studying mass communication and journalism, he began working as an assistant to filmmaker Redoan Rony. In 2017, Uday's journey as a television dramatist began with the production of the fiction "Backspace". Kongkaboti, Boishakhi Hawa, Chaileo Pai Na are some of his notable fictions. He has told stories of women, children and animal rights in short films like Where love based on hope, Fathomable and Proportional. Uday's films have been selected at various film festivals around the world, including the Lift-Off Global Film Festival in the UK and the Caribbean Film Festival in the US. In 2019, "Proportional" won "Best Short Film" by UN Women.
