I am a journalist based in Central India. I write on a broad spectrum of issues for a variety of publications including BBC Hindi, but specializes on social, religious and environmental issues especially women related. I had covered Bhopal gas tragedy issues, female feticide, infanticide, manual scavenging, witch-hunting and human rights violation. I work as a freelancer for all forms of journalism-radio, video, print and online. I am also interested in covering off beat stories. My coverage of women in panchayati raj(local governance) in Madhya Pradesh won a Sarojini Naidu Award (given by the U.S.-based The Hunger Project) in 2006. In 2010, traveled to the US as part of the International Visitor Leadership Program(IVLP), organized by the United States Department of State.
