When the war broke out he was forced to quit his studies since his hometown came under siege and he was no longer able to travel to Damascus. Eassa started his career in photojournalism as a self-taught freelance photographer in 2013, covering life under siege and documenting the carnage and destruction resulting from near-daily air strikes and bombardments. The Yellow vests movement began in France in 2018 as a populist, grassroots political initiative for economic justice. the high cost of living and claims that a disproportionate burden of the government's tax reforms. The protests involved marches and the blocking of roads and fuel depots all around France. Some of the protests developed into major riots, as on the Champs Elysées in Paris
is a project documenting fragile moments of Syrian children’s lives as they witness war with their own eyes, bodies, and objects that carry imprints of this ongoing conflict. Children were impacted the most; their playing square was between the destroyed buildings. They were watching their houses as they fade away due to the bombardments. Some of them were lucky enough to stay alive.
