Ray Whitehouse (he/him) works at the intersection of documentary film and journalism. After growing up in Chicago, he lived in San Antonio, Texas, before moving to Washington, D.C. He works primarily as a director of photography. His feature-length directorial debut, A RUN FOR MORE, had its world premiere at Frameline in June 2022 and screened more than 30 festivals across the U.S. He served as the Second Unit DP on TO THE END, directed by Rachel Lears, which premiered at Sundance in 2022. BRING THEM HOME, a documentary short he co-directed and DP’d, premiered at the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival in 2022. He was part of the Washington Post team that was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for reporting about the Capitol insurrection and its aftermath. He’s worked as a cinematographer on more than 20 documentary features and filmed, produced and edited projects for The New York Times, The Washington Post, TIME, and Univision, among others. He is community coordinator for the D.C. chapter of Video Consortium and a regional co-chair of the Documentary Producers Alliance. He holds an M.A. in documentary journalism from UNC Chapel Hill and a B.S. in journalism from Northwestern University. The core tenets of his practice are transparency, collaboration and critical reflexivity.

Hello! My name is Nacho Corbella and storytelling is my passion. I love shaping a story, shooting and been in the field, interviewing, and everything else content gathering entails. There's something athletic in the act. You put your whole body and mind into it. It's exhausting but tremendously fulfilling. I enjoy enormously assembling the puzzle of what a multimedia story is. Reviewing and selecting material, deciding which asset is best to convey what the story portrays. It's like writing, but far better. You can have the most beautiful images and incredible bits of audio, but if you don't know how to order them and ultimately make sense of them for the viewer, it's useless. It's like loose words on a piece of paper. That's what I love about editing: you're creating a language. It's a full on mind game. Multimedia is the type of work that I love engaging with and doing, but also the type of work that I think is meaningful and can promote change. I firmly believe is a medium that can reach people and spur them to understand issues fully and, consequently help bring change, especially when done with dedication and quality.

Enrique Huaiquil is a Chilean-American award-winning cinematographer, photojournalist, documentary photographer, video editor, and graphic artist based in Northern Virginia. He has covered a wide variety of issues, including the Central American caravans trying to cross the U.S.-Mexico border, the aftermath of the earthquake in Puerto Rico, white supremacy in America, COVID-19 intensive care units, and immigration detention centers. Enrique has been documenting the immigration crisis in the U.S. In 2021, his focus was primarily on the growing Afghan community in the Washington, DC area as a result of the increased number of asylum seekers and refugees who had to flee Afghanistan with the American withdrawal in 2021. As a Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting grantee, he has explored and chronicled the challenges faced by refugees who evacuated Afghanistan after the Taliban takeover. He has collaborated with a large number of NGOs, government agencies and educational institutions including GreenPeace, Sandy Hook Promise, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He is an Emmy Award recipient for video editing of a short documentary produced by Al Jazeera, He Survived Ebola, Now This Doctor Is Battling Coronavirus and a Webby award winner for cinematography for the video The Awful TRUTH about “No Trespassing” Laws. Enrique has a master's degree in filmmaking from AmericanUniversity and he is also a talented artist who specializes in oil-on canvases.He calls his style abstract-surrealist and has shown his work in several galleries in the DMV area.

Xinyan is an award-winning video journalist and filmmaker based in Washington DC. Born and raised in Wuhan, China, Xinyan started her journalism career in 2012 working as a producer for BBC News in Beijing covering the Asia Pacific region. In 2018, she launched the North America video team for Hong Kong’s flagship newspaper South China Morning Post in New York, and later joined the BBC's Washington DC bureau in 2020 as a senior video journalist. Mostafa Bassim is a photojournalist and documentary photographer based in New York City. His career in photojournalism began during his participation in the January 25th revolution in Egypt, when he co-founded “Sotna” a local newspaper in his hometown and started documenting the atrocities committed by the regime. Mostafa has covered various events ranging from the aftermath of the Egyptian Revolution to economic and societal issues. His projects focus heavily on documenting the daily lives and occurrences of marginalized communities. His work was published locally in various local newspapers and internationally in various publications such as National Geographic, AP, Anadule, EPA, Aljazeera, and AJ+, and was exhibited in various international exhibitions including ICP museum, AFAC 10th Anniversary exhibition in Lebanon, Photo Istanbul exhibition and No pictures please exhibition in Berlin Germany. He is also a grant recipient of the 2015 Arab Documentary Photography Program under Magnum Foundation, AFAC, and the Prince Claus Foundation. He is also a participant in the 2017 and 2019 New York Times Portfolio Review, as well as the winning recipient of Nikon’s contest "MyNikonLIfe". In 2017 due to the ongoing crackdown on activists and journalists in Egypt, he moved to the US and began documenting stories regarding the Arab community in the American diaspora, and lately, he finished his visual journalism studies at the International Center of Photography in New York City.

William Thomas Cain is a professional photojournalist whose body of work spans from editorial to commercial in his 30 years of experience. He accredits his diverse background to his extensive education at Philadelphia’s University of the Arts. While completing 4 years at the university, in 1987 Mr. Cain earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in illustration with a minor in photography. Upon his graduation William Thomas Cain began work at the Philadelphia Inquirer until 1999. While there he perfected the fine art of photojournalism by juxtaposing graphic illustrative concepts with editorial imagery. From the Philadelphia Inquirer William Thomas Cain became a contract photographer for the Associated Press, as well as joining Newsmakers Online Photo Service, now known as Getty Images, as one of their first contract photojournalists in the United States. Mr. Cain is currently represented by Getty Images, as well as Black Star, where he is the primary news source, linking Philadelphia to the New York and worldwide market. Pete Kiehart is a visual journalist based in Washington, DC. His interests include a diverse array of topics - he’s covered the war in Donbas and Europe’s refugee crisis, as well as the Tour de France and the African Nations Championship. Previously, he worked for The San Francisco Chronicle, where he was a visuals editor and photographer. In addition to working regularly as a photojournalist and portrait photographer, Pete also has experience with videography and video production, as well as writing and designing.
