2 reviewsRON ANDERSON started in the film business in 1974 working his way up through Allied Film
Laboratory in Detroit, as a film animation-cameraman, film timer, and telecine colorist. He then
worked for CBS/Fox coloring many feature films for the home video market, including the
James Bond films “The Spy Who Loved Me”, and “The Man With The Golden Gun”, Robert
Altman's "A Wedding", and the classic "Flight of the Phoenix" to name a few.
Ron has worked as senior colorist, and supervisor of the film department for Grace & Wild
Studios in Farmington Hills, Michigan, and senior colorist for Editel in Chicago where his
commercial clients included GM, Ford, McDonalds, AT&T, Sears, Marlboro and others. Ron has
worked as a national consultant for both Philips Quadra and DaVinci Systems and premiered the
first Spirit Datacine in Los Angeles. In 1995 Ron joined CineFilm, in Atlanta, where he helped
design, build, and manage two fully digital Telecine suites. While there worked on the 1996
Olympic movie, all of the NASA space shuttle launches, numerous feature films, and
commercial clients. While there colored 57 shows "The Deep Sea Detectives" for the History
Channel, as well as many documentaries for the National Geographic Channel. Feature films
include "The Lost Valentine" starring Jennifer Love Hewitt and Betty White, Diector of
Photograhy Mr. Frank Printz. And Big Momma's 4, "Like Father, Like Son", starring Martin
Lawrence, Director of Photography Mr. Tony Richmond. In 2016 worked on “Hidden Figures”,
starring Kevin Costner, Director of Photography Ms. Mandy Walker/ASC, and “Gifted”,
starring Chris Evans, Director of photography Mr. Stuart Dryburgh /ASC.
In 2009, with the launching of his own business, COLORAMA, Ron continues to expand his
artistry, working with the highest quality digital media, utilizing Black Magic's DAVINCI
RESOLVE, in two professionally designed studios. Ron has won four Emmy’s for his color
correction on “Margaret Mitchell, an American Rebel”, a documentary for Georgia Public
Television, and” A New Hope”, a documentary about bringing a ministry coarse to the Angola
State Prison in Louisiana, by Kossover & Co., for “Dean Rusk-Secretary of State”, a
documentary about the life of this Georgia native, also from GPB, and “Chinese Tea – The
Elixir of the Orient”, by GPB. Ron has worked with Tyler Perry Studios, coloring their
nationally syndicated television shows, “For Better or Worse”, and “The House of Payne”.
Completed color for "Sunshine By the Stars", performed and narrated by Harry Conic Jr. for
PBS. Recently colored two shows airing on the National Geographic Channel, “Kings of Baja”,
and “Galapagos”, both wonderfully shot 4K underwater adventures. Presently working on
several television series for various networks, and a host of commercial projects.
