Ramy Francis is the founder of Colonel Productions. He started the company in 2009 with all the experience he got over the years, having begun his career in production at the age of 15. Being the son of an Egyptian film producer and after graduating from The High Institute of Cinema in Cairo 1989, he began working as a producer assistant. He has produced feature films, documentaries, high profile interviews, news stories, TV programs, advertisements and music videos in Egypt and all over MENA region. His expertise includes hand selecting film crews and equipment, budgeting and high-risk assessment, logistics and transportation, research and story development, location scouting, and event management. In 2000 he moved to Los Angeles, California to work as a freelance production coordinator for 3 years making music videos and news stories for local production companies. In 2002 he worked on the Hollywood film "Seabiscuit" and shortly thereafter he moved back to Cairo working with international production houses and news agencies such as BBC, History channel, CNN, Discovery channel and many others, as a local producer and fixer for documentaries, news stories, promos, TV and social media advertisements.
