Youssef Chouhoud is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Christopher Newport University, where he is affiliated with the Reiff Center for Human Rights and Conflict Resolution. His research examines public opinion among (and toward) minorities in the United States and also models support for democratic norms in the Middle East. He also has an extensive record of public scholarship on American Muslim attitudes and behaviors. Prior to joining CNU, Dr. Chouhoud was a Provost’s Fellow at the University of Southern California, where he received his Ph.D. -

Born in Seoul, South Korea, Jee An earned her first feature film role in Masterminds as the Female Cashier in a scene with Zach Galifianakis. Television roles have included Dr. Ama in the AMC miniseries Jacqueline And Jilly, Cathy Jin in AMC’s Lodge 49 and Hannah Lee in the Netflix comedy Insatiable. Most recently, she was cast as Chancellor Vero Kuo in the ABC primetime series Will Trent. Jee studied Theater Arts at the University of South Carolina in Hilton Head and the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina and began booking leading roles in plays in Hilton Head, Beaufort, South Carolina, Savannah, Georgia, and Charlotte, North Carolina. From 2013 to 2017, she studied acting for commercials, film and television with her mentor, J.D. Lewis at The Actor’s Lab in Charlotte.

I am an investigative journalist with experience in print, digital, broadcast, and podcasting. I have been in journalism for 8 years and shooting video and photography for four. RTDNAC 2022 Investigative Reporter of the Year, IRE member, NC Open Government Coalition member. I am also a concert photographer and have photographed bands like Rage Against the Machine, Nine Inch Nails, Tame Impala, and The Used (just to name a few). I enjoy in-depth research for my stories and using my creativity through video to tell them. I co-host a weekly podcast focusing on news in North Carolina and have worked alongside my former coworker building that for five years. I am able to write and edit scripts, write in-depth print articles for use in magazines, newspapers, and digital platforms.
