I am a Denver-based independent producer, people-connector and adventurer. My work has always followed my passion for global issues and social justice. I was the project producer for Cruzada, a film by the Literacy Project about the Nicaraguan National Literacy Campaign. I was also producer and second camera for Still River Silent Jungle, an adventure-sport meets environmental-activism story about one indigenous woman's fight against mega-hydroelectric power in the Bolivian Amazon. Over the years, I have worked on literacy and community projects in Latin American and Latinx communities in the United States, and as a caseworker for refugee families in Denver. I speak fluent Spanish.

Hi, I’m Katie! I’m a filmmaker and writer who likes reading, hiking, photography, and too much coffee. I discovered film and video production while attending Dartmouth College, and it has grown to become my favorite form of storytelling. I’m fascinated by issues affecting the outdoor industry and women’s empowerment, and I love the way that film can connect people and tell the unheard stories of people doing incredible things. Video editing is one way I craft those stories, and I also work as a studio manager for National Geographic photographer Pete McBride.
