Being a young, enthusiastic and benevolent personality, Siddharth has been the youngest photographer to cover climate induced social stories and disasters across India. Covering a diversity of documentary, editorial and commissioned assignments in the last nine years across length and breadth of India and parts of South Asia, Siddharth from an early age has been extensively photographing distinct landscapes, people, cultures, architectures, rituals, biodiversities, valued resources and built environments in people's homelands; mostly envisioning the risks posed by climate impacts that exacerbate the religious and cultural identities of communities today.
His long term and unique visual project on traumatising lives of street children Being LOST fetched him the very prestigious National Foundation for India; National Media Fellowship Award in 2017 gaining a huge importance in the humanitarian sector, following a solo exhibition. He has been a successful recipient of Neel Dongre Awards for Excellence in Photography ‘twice’ for producing an unparalleled diverse works on sustainable environment and refugees. Recently he was awarded estimable Chennai Photo Biennale Photo Grant Award for his very committed climate project ‘The Silent Disaster’ that etches the truth of environmental depletion in the Himalayan geography.
His photographs have travelled across international galleries in Cambodia, Chille, San Fransisco, Slovenia, Italy, Taiwan and have been widely published in The Guardian, The Wire, Better Photography magazine, The Hindu, Hindustan Times, Fountain Ink magazine, Indian Quarterly Magazine, Fairgaze, Designboom, Axis Four, UNDRR, UNICEF, INHABITAT, UNFCCC and many more.
