Formerly, I was an associate producer for Discovery, Inc. producing long form shows for HGTV, and viral social assets for Travel Channel. Photographer and documentarian Ben Powell’s assignments as a cinematographer have taken him to communities around the world, while his documentary films as a director have focused on landscapes near and dear. His adopted home state of Texas and the obsessive characters (and celebrities) that collect its historical treasures play a central role in “Phil Collins and the Wild Frontier,” which premiered at the 2013 New Orleans Film Festival. His first feature documentary, BARGE, focuses on the culture of towboat workers not far from his home town of Cleveland, Mississippi and premiered at the 2015 SXSW Film Festival, going on to win Best Documentary Feature prizes at Indie Memphis and the Dallas International Film Festival. Powell has received received artist grants from the Austin Film Society and the Garrett Scott Documentary Development Grant, and holds a BFA in Film, Animation, and Video from the Rhode Island School of Design.

After graduating from Marquette University in 2010 with a degree in Advertising, Michael joined Jesuit Volunteer Corps for two years. During that time, he worked alongside the Lakota (Sioux) people in South Dakota at a Mission, serving as both a radio DJ and media specialist. Following his volunteer years, he traveled the country as a Development Officer for the same Mission where he volunteered. Wanting to combine his love for storytelling, marketing, and media, in 2015, Michael started his own production company in Mobile, AL, Motivation Media Inc. (MMI). As Creative Director, he has produced stories through video for non-profits as well as for multi-million dollar corporations. Michael loves to laugh and make others laugh, in particular, his beautiful wife and children.

David is an award-winning videographer. He graduated with honors from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a film degree in 2010. His passion for storytelling and beautiful images has manifested in a career that spans feature films, television shows, and documentaries. His work has been seen in international film festivals and on PBS. He has worked with major studios as well as smaller production houses. I currently am an active duty naval officer and engineer living in Gulfport, MS. I have 9-years experience with freelance cinematography and photography working with clients, as well as creating many short films, satires, commercials and music videos.
