Thomas Lewton is a British video journalist, photographer and documentary filmmaker currently based in East Africa. His films have featured on BBC Travel, the Thomson Reuters Foundation and VICE. He also produces content for NGOs and has worked with Friends of the Earth and Amnesty International. Before freelancing, Thomas worked as an Assistant Producer in broadcast TV for four years on factual documentaries for Channel 4, the BBC and Discovery Networks. Thomas produces under Fuzzy Head Films with multimedia journalist Alice McCool. Their documentary short - Malawi Gold - premiered in February 2017 at the Bertha DocHouse Cinema, and was nominated for Best Short Documentary at London Independent Film Festival.
