I am an aspiring young growing from Rwanda running a filming business venture. I have shot in two countries, Mauritius and Rwanda. At an early age I have been involved in creating videos for companies ranging from National TV of Rwanda, Education institutions, corporate companies. I believe storytelling and filmmaking is my way to go and  an effective way that we as Rwandans and as Africans we can use to continue to rebrand ourselves as a country and I would like to lead in telling these stories. Nebiat Assefa Melles is a video journalist and documentary filmmaker based in Kigali, Rwanda. Her recent documentary “Blue Devil” has won the Knight Award for Best reporting in Science and Environment, also got nominated as Best Short Documentary at Pan Africa Film Festival, Montreal Black Film Festival, and San Diageo Black Film Festival. Nebat has spent eight years reporting and producing documentaries the national media, Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation, where she was named Producer of the Year in 2011 and 2012. She is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and specialized in Documentary Filmmaking. TD JACK MUHINDO born in 1979 at Kanyabayonga ( Democratic Republic of Congo) I live in Goma. In 2008 after my primary and secondary studies in teaching department, I was interested in using the camera so, I got the opportunity of participating in workshops on filmmaking in Goma held by Yole Africa. The time I got involved in making videos, in 2009 I started working on my first videos. In 2012, I attended a filmmaking masterclass in kinshasa between may 1st, 2012 and april 1st, 2013 ;under the coordination of SUKA PRODUCTION company in partnership with l'Institut National des Arts et des Spectacles ( INSAS) of Brussels. In this masterclass I got access to the visual audio and I learned how to use image and sound equipment. I worked on different professional film productions ( documentaries, publicities, short-films, events organizations...) my final study work I directed a documentary short film which was selected in Salaam Kivu International Film Festival(SKIFF) and Congo

I have worked in MASS’s Kigali Office from March 2019 to August 2020 as a Filmmaker. I was documenting the progress of the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund along with several other projects. Prior to joining MASS, I spent the last six years as a freelancer engaging with the Rwandan film and television industry as a writer, producer, editor, and photographer. I have worked for a number of companies and individuals including the Rwanda Broadcast Agency, Tour du Rwanda, Sony Ivory Coast, Coca Cola,... My vast experience has allowed me to gain technical skills behind the camera and develop cinematographic techniques to produce compelling stories. As a Rwandan native, I have been an active participant in my country’s media outreach, working on television production, documentaries, advertisements, and promotional videos. I am well-versed in cultural content work and bring knowledge and expertise to our team. I hope to continue harnessing the powerful narratives of my community and the continent at large.

Jean Bizimana is a Rwandan photographer/ videographer who learned this art from Through The Eyes of the Children, an organization that teaches photography to children in vulnerable communities. He became part of the organization at a very young age when he was still living at the orphanage in Rwanda, the place where he grew up. Following his training with Through the Eyes of Children, Jean Bizimana attended other professional photography workshops to improve his skills. His passion for photography droves him to pour all of his efforts into the art and made it his career. Jean Bizimana’s photos helped pay for his education and for the education of some of the kids he grew up with in the orphanage. In addition, the income from the photos supported the orphanages in purchasing food and clothing for the kids. After graduating from University, Jean Bizimana chose to focus his career into documentary photojournalism so as to be able to highlight some of the social issues his was seeing in his home country, Rwanda. Jean Bizimana has extended his photography services to other countries. He has taught photography to various underprivileged kids in refugee camps and Foster Care systems in countries such as Haiti, the United States, and Nepal. For Jean Bizimana, photography has taught him that in life, people will always be in disagreements and differences. However, these disagreements and differences should not be an excuse for continued hatred or conflicts among people. I am a Kigali/Rwanda-based photographer/ videographer. Hey! I am a freelance journalist from Germany now living in the Great Lakes region of Africa, more precisely in Gisenyi/Rwanda at the border to the DR Congo. I moved here in 2016. Since 2005 I have been working for several public broadcasting TV stations in Germany and produced reports, portraits, documentaries from 5 min to 30 min. I love my job! It's that simple.
