Ike Nnaebue, celebrated Nigerian movie director, screenwriter and producer, is the founder of Treasurewells Academy and the host of “Breaking into Nollywood with Ike Nnaebue,” a workshop series which he had successfully hosted in Lagos, New York, Atlanta and Dallas. He is also the founder and Creative Director at Passion8 Communications Ltd, a media content production company based in Lagos Nigeria. Ike's first film, FALSE which he wrote and directed was released in Oct 2013 and won a Golden Icon Academy Award (GIAMA) out of the 3 nominations. It also had 12 nominations at Nollywood Movie Awards that same year. Ike’s film, SINK OR SWIM won Best Narrative Feature 2017 Newark International Film Festival. His recent film is a thrilling psychological drama titled LOVING DANIELLA which he filmed at locations in three continents namely Lagos - Nigeria, Las Vegas - USA and the beautiful island of Antigua. LOVING DANIELLA made the official selection for Las Vegas Black Film Festival and won the festival’s Best Actress Award out of three nominations. Since graduating, I have taken other short professional courses in both cinematography and editing while working professionally for over 8 years. I'm a filmmaker. Sometimes I do other stuff too, like photography and graphic design. I graduated with a degree in Visual Arts and Communication Design from Eastern Mediterranean University, Cyprus and begrudgingly joined the workforce of millions of other artists in Lagos, Nigeria. My work ranges from documentaries with NGO’s focusing on displaced survivors of Boko Haram terrorist attacks, to short films tackling the intriguing questions in life, like “what is love?”.
