The films in which I have collaborated, both in Cinematography and as Director, have been exhibited in renowned international film festivals, also in film theatres and cultural halls of America, Europe and Australia such as The Lincoln Center in New York, the Museum of Fine Arts of Houston, the Reina Sofía Museum of Madrid, the San Martín Cultural Center in Buenos Aires and The Museum of Modern Art in New York.
I mainly do feature length documentary and fiction films. I have DP and directed TV and commercial content.
The films in which I have worked on have been premiered at internationally renowned film festivals such as Toronto International Film Festival TIFF, Sundance Film Festival, International Film Festival of Marrakech, IDFA, International Festival of Cartagena de Indias FICCI, San Sebastián International Film Festival, SxSW, Down Town Los Angeles IFF, DOCSMX and Morelia International Film Festival FICM, among others.
My work as cinematographer has been awarded for the films Palabras Mágicas/Magic Words (2012) by Mercedes Moncada (Mexican Society of Cinematographers Prize at DocsMX IFF), Guerrero (2017) by Ludovic Bonleux (Crystal Screen Award for Best Documentary Cinematography) and Bosque de Niebla/Cloud Forrest (2017) by Mónica Álvarez Franco (Best Cinematography Prize at Down Town Los Angeles International Film Festival). Nominated for the Silver Ariel Award of the Mexican Academy of Cinema Arts and Sciences for Best Documentary, in 2014, for El Alcalde, which I have co-directed with Emiliano Altuna; and Nominated for the Silver Ariel Award in 2019 for Best Cinematography for my work in La Camarista/The Cambermaid de Lila Avilés, 2018.
I have accumulated experience filming in a wide variety of territories and circumstances in different areas of Argentina, the United States, Cuba, Nicaragua, Germany, Mexico, Guatemala.
Every year, fortunately and since 2002, I am invited to share my film experience both in film schools and traditional universities and giving workshops, courses and inside alternative/non-traditional education programs. I have been invited to advise and follow up on film works in development within grant programs in various academic, promotional and development efforts from governmental and private initiatives.
Owner of Bambu Audiovisual, a 16 years old independent production company dedicated to the development and production of both documentary and fiction films focused on social relevant interest and narrated from a personal and artistic standpoint.
