1 reviewI began my legal education in Tehran, studying international trade and private law at Shahid Beheshti, having previously studied French literature. After earning two masters, I moved to London, working as a legal and political analyst for several years. During this time, I also contributed my expertise in human rights and immigration law to notable media outlets including BBC & VOA. I have reported extensively on Iranian & Middle Eastern human rights stories including the #MeToo & Women Life Freedom movements to resultant arrests, trials and executions. Driven by a desire to deepen my understanding of constitutional law and democratic systems, I emigrated to the United States to further my academic pursuits. Currently, I am working on a Doctor of Jurisprudence at the University of Chicago focussing on the intricate relationship between constitutional frameworks and democratic institutions, aiming to contribute to the broader discourse on effective governance and societal development.
