Since graduating filmmaking in University of the Philippines, Diliman in 2004, I have directed documentary films tackling issues of environment and society. and have further studied advanced documentary filmmaking under German, French and Dutch filmmakers in various workshops and specialized courses organized by Goethe Institute-Manila and Goethe Institut-Hanoi. My work as a full time documentary film director allowed me to travel to different countries for filming and attending festivals where some of my works are screened. I have collected a number of awards of excellence for documentary and fiction films both locally and abroad. I'm an energetic millennial who loves to explore unique and thought-provoking stories that capture human interest and evoke impact to our global society. Prior to my freelance career in visual storytelling, I spent more than 2 years as a researcher and field producer for I-Witness, the Philippines' longest-running and most awarded documentary programme on television. It's a two-time recipient of the prestigious George Foster Peabody Award. Working for this programme enriched my capacity to investigate and develop narratives that move the audience. I am an award-winning Tagalog filmmaker and journalist. I was a Fulbright Scholar who holds a Master’s degree in documentary filmmaking from New York University where I was also a recipient of the NYU GSAS Scholarship. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing from the University of the Philippines – Diliman. I directed, wrote and produced two films: Cuchera and Nuwebe, which have been screened in over 60 international film festivals including Toronto, Stockholm, Fribourg, Cleveland, Belgrade, Montreal, Vancouver, Geneva and Goteborg. Aside from my work in film, I also contribute to TV, print and online media. Last November, I produced a documentary for Get Real of Channel News Asia. I am an aspiring photojournalist and multimedia producer based in Manila, Philippines. I love telling stories in pixels and adore its chaotic yet productive process. Alec Figuracion is a 26-year-old independent filmmaker who has a degree in Psychology at University of Santo Tomas, and a diploma in Filmmaking from the International Academy of Film and Television in Cebu, Philippines where he was given the "Special Award in Directing" as a recognition for his short thesis film, “Tangible”. At the age of 22, he was given the opportunity to direct his feature film, "Bitukang Manok”, for Cinema One Originals 2014 which won “Best Cinematography”. His second feature, “The Eternity Between Seconds” for CineFilipino Film Festival 2018, won “Best Picture”, “Best Director”, “Best Cinematography”, “Best Editing”, and “Best Sound”. It was also exhibited as part of “A Window to Asian Cinema” section in the 2018 Busan International Film Festival, and won “Best Screenplay” at Cape Town Film Market 7 Festival 2018. Alec also works as a freelance editor and his work includes “1st Sem” for CineFilipino 2016, “Hinulid” for QCinema 2016 starring Nora Aunor, and an assortment of short video projects and digital advertising.

Jonathan Jose Z. Olarte is a freelance filmmaker, visual artist, and human rights activist born and raised in Metro Manila, Philippines. He is currently pursuing further studies at the University of the Philippines, Diliman for Fine Arts. He studied cinematography at the International Academy of Film and Television, and apprenticed under visual artist and cinematographer Napoleon Jamir III. I am a photographer associated with the online Mindanao-based news agency MindaNews. I am currently a communications assistant for the Untied Nations International Labour Organization in Manila.
