Julia Lemos Lima is a self-shooting documentary producer and director, founder of Spread The Word Films, a production company specialising in non-fictional films about women’s issues. Her work focuses on how women deal with sexism and gender inequality. I am Brazilian and hold both Brazilian and Italian nationalities. I have been based in Rio de Janeiro since 2009. Between 2003 and 2008 I lived, studied and worked as a freelance photographer in London (UK). In 2015 I launched a production company called Zuppa Filmes (/http://zuppafilmes.com.br/english/). Zuppa Filmes produces several audiovisual products for the film and music industries. We do still photography and making of photography for cinematographic productions, DOP for documentaries, institutional videos for a wide range of clients, from private companies, NGOs, among others, as well as photography in general, such as portraits, album covers and recordings of shows and exhibitions. I've been involved in video production for many years, especially since the arrival of video-enabled DSLR cameras. Zuppa Filmes was designed to offer a more structured service, consisting of multi-camera coverage, with careful audio recording and integrated editing.

French filmmaker. After studying Mathematics in Paris, I completed a Master's degree in Political Sciences in Chile. I has directed various documentaries in different countries of the world (France, Togo, Niger, Chile, Russia, ...) which were broadcast in festival (MIDFF Doker, IFF Message to Man, ImagéSanté Festival of Liège, FIFB Montreal, Luxor African Film Festival, Festival de Cine de Bogotá ... ) and on TV channels like TV5 Monde, CineBrasil TV, Canal Futura. I have also directed children's film workshops at the Robert Lynen Cinematheque in Paris. Currently, I live between Brazil and France and I am a professor at the School of Visual Art of Parque Lage (EAV - Rio de Janeiro). 
At the same time, I am passionate about black and white digital photography and have set up my own laboratory where I reveal my photographs. My work has been published in POSI + TIVE Magazine.

I'm a 34-year-old self-taught photographer, born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, and I document life in Brazil. I work independently for national and international media. The personal documentation I do is about the socio-environmental issue: such as Vale's crime in Mariana and Brumadinho, illegal gold mining in the Amazon, the culture of the Kayapó Menkragnoti people and the difficult struggle of the Kaiowá and Guarani for their lands in Mato Grosso do Sul. And my published work — for medias such as Reuters Agency, Bloomberg News and the UOL — generally involves factual coverage of what happens in Rio de Janeiro. I have been a freelancer for the Reuters since 2013 and, since 2019, I have worked as a consultant for the Kabu Institute (a non-profit organization of the Kayapó Menkragnoti indigenous people) giving audiovisual training workshops to young people in the villages.

I've published my first non fiction/true crime book, 'O coronel que raptava infâncias', in August 2021. It tells the story of a corrupt military policeman who, for 30 years, sexually abused children from the favelas.
