Adnelly Marichal is a filmmaker, producer, and photographer based in Northern California. She most recently served as a Director and Field Producer for the second season of PBS's America Outdoors with Baratunde Thurston. Previously, she has worked on a variety of feature films and television projects, taking her from Guatemala for a whirlwind cooking show for Nat Geo (coming out in Spring 2024) to Switzerland to produce a re-enactment of a commune that may have been the birthplace of the anti-abortion movement in the US. Adam Garrett-Clark holds a Bachelors of Science in Print Multimedia Journalism from Emerson College, Boston Massachusetts. While backpacking through Central America he founded a monthly Tourism Magazine, in Leon Nicaragua. As lead writer, editor and ad salesman, LeonEazy published six issues, distributing 1500 copies in town, and became a force in the local economy. In 2007 he returned to the states, taking a job as an ad salesman for a weekly newspaper in Northern Manhattan, New York. His intent was to write. By the end of his three years, Manhattan Times created a staff writer position for him and he was developing a series of short news documentaries for the website. ​ In 2010 Garrett-Clark returned to San Francisco taking temporary work as a Pedicab driver while looking for a job in media. My name is Rosa Amanda Tuirán and I am a Mexican documentary filmmaker, photographer and investigative journalist based in the Bay Area. I received my Master of Journalism from UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism in May 2020. I worked as a News Video Fellow at BuzzFeed News and was a National Association of Hispanic Journalists Fellow at CBS News in 2019. In March 2020, I was part of the COVID-19 reporting project with the Investigative Reporting Program and The New York Times to help meet the need for comprehensive reporting on how the Covid-19 crisis affected California. After graduating, I worked on a PBS Frontline investigation, and have continued to pursue independent work about climate change and insecurity in Mexico. In November 2020, I published an investigation in The Counter about a meatpacking plant in Southern California that illustrates the national failure of OSHA to protect workers. Longreads recently included the piece in their best COVID-19 reporting of 2020. This year I worked as a series Producer for OceanX about the wonders of the ocean and those who explored it and I produced a Ford Foundation-funded podcast series about the murder of journalists in Mexico.

Melina Tupa is an award-winning Argentinean and Brazilian journalist and documentary filmmaker, specializing in human rights and Latino issues across the world. She started her career as a print reporter for Billiken magazine and Diagonal Newspaper in Argentina but soon moved onto visual journalism. She worked for five years as an associate TV producer, three of those years at Turner Broadcasting System. There she wrote and produced short news formats that aired during commercial breaks, in-between shows and were shared on social media in nearly every Latin American country. Melina holds a Bachelor in Journalism degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina and a Master of Journalism degree from UC Berkeley, focusing on Documentary Filmmaking and Photojournalism. At the Berkeley J-School, Melina was awarded a TV/Documentary Merit Fellowship and the Carlos M. Castañeda Journalism Scholarship. Her documentary thesis The Search, told the story of Estela de Carlotto, the president of the Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo, whose grandson was abducted during the Argentinean military dictatorship. The documentary is a Student Academy Award finalist, a recipient of the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) Excellence in Journalism Award for Student Special Project in addition to several other awards, and has been featured in different film festivals across the world.
