Born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, 1986. Direction and Scriptwriting degree, Escuela Internacional de cine y TV, Cuba (EICTV). His artistic formation started in theater as an actor and writer. (Fiction, 2008) I live in the downtown (Documentary, 2009) Bolivar, the liberator of souls (Documentary 2015) Two feet (Documentary, 2016) Child fish (Fiction, 2016), The Flood (Fiction, 2018), Autumn of Socialist Nation (the collapse of the Soviet Union) (2019) . His short films have been screened in deferents festivals like the Festival Internacional del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano (Cuba); Huesca Film Festival (Spain); Dresden filmfest, Germany, Videoteca del Sur (New York, EEUU), United States Super 8 Film + Digital Video Festival, (New Jersey, EEUU); Dresden International Film festival (Germany); Festival de cine universitario Eureka (Colombia); Panalandia (Panamá); Festival de cine Manuel Trujillo Durán (Venezuela), Margarita Film Festival and Documenta (Venezuela), Muestra Cine Joven (Cuba). He has directed the feature film La Imagen del Tiempo (Timeless Havana), Official Selection in FID Marseille 2019 (Prix des Lycées). He’s currently working on the short film I Suoni del tempo (Italian-Cuba-Venezuela co-production, Premio Zavattini 2018 for development project with archive films).

Alexander Viola is a director, screenwriter, and cinematographer from the Dominican Republic, and co-founder of the collective/production company Mentes Fritas Producciones. He is the cinematographer and producer of "La Bachata de Bionico" (Winner of the Audience Award at SXSW 2024). He is currently in the distribution phase of his first feature fiction film as a director "El día de la Tormenta," a movie where he explores psychological horror and mystery.
