3 reviewsWWW.SCOTTRUDERMAN.COM Scott Ruderman is an award winning filmmaker who has worked on documentary film projects for Netflix, Hulu, Discovery, A&E Originals, Channel NewsAsia, and HBO. His documentary short, Piano Craftman, was awarded Best Director at the 2020 Madrid Art Film Festival and will screen at the BIG SKY Documentary Festival in 2021. In 2020, Scott worked as a cinematographer across the Netflix series (Un)Well and Hulu’s Taste the Nation. Scott was also a Director of Photography on Netflix's Explained and in 2019 he was the Director of Photography on Whiter Shade of Terror, a film about the the global spread of anti-muslim rhetoric and an increasingly violent white supremacy movement, which aired in 28 countries. In late 2018, Scott was a producer on the USA production of the Unanswered Ives documentary which was awarded the Czech Crystal for “Best Documentary Dedicated to Music, Dance and Theater” at the 2019 Golden Prague Film Festival. He holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Social Documentary Film from the School of Visual Arts. Currently, I freelance on a contractual basis and willing to travel for production. I own state of the art camera gear, professional sound equipment and HD lighting.
