He has covered diverse issues such as the Central American caravans at the U.S.-Mexico border, the aftermath of the Puerto Rico earthquake, white supremacy in America, COVID-19 intensive care units, and immigration detention centers. In 2021, Enrique focused on the Afghan community in the Washington, DC area, documenting the influx of asylum seekers and refugees following the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. As a Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting grantee, he chronicled the challenges faced by those evacuated after the Taliban takeover. His work has been published in major outlets, including Al Jazeera English, NBC News, PBS, and Bloomberg.
