I received my Master's degree in journalism from Columbia Journalism School in New York. I worked on the multimedia desk at AFP in Washington, on the foreign news desk at the Italian national newspaper La Stampa, and I was published on a variety of outlets as a freelancer.

As Venice braced for its second high tide weekend in only ten days, I reported live for Happs to show the water rising in historical St. Mark's square and explain what this meant for residents and tourists visiting the city. I then moved to one of the many libraries in town that were swept by high waters on November 12 and had thousands of books submerged, including ancient ones. There, I filmed and interviewed volunteers doing the painstaking job of drying every single page with tissue paper, in hope of salvaging as many books as possible.
In this short web documentary for the Italian daily La Stampa, I traveled to the industrial north-east of Italy to investigate why most entrepreneurs were pushing for the central government to grant the region more administrative and financial autonomy – a proposal voted on in a referendum and backed by strongman League leader Matteo Salvini.
I pitched this video last winter, as protests to save villages and a forest in southwestern Germany from the expansion of a coal mine were raging. I travelled to the area on my own twice, first to get a sense of the story and build sources, and then to shoot. I edited the doc myself in a few days, including script, voiceover, and basic color correction.
This deeply reported story explores the smear campaign that some Polish conservative media outlets enacted at the expenses of the country's LGBTQ community.
I pitched and wrote this story for Foreign Policy the day after Italy's parliament approved the passing of a law (the so-called Salvini decree) regulating the action of humanitarian rescue ships approaching Italy via the central Mediterranean. I conducted all the interviews and did the writing in one workday.
