Until recently, people of the Tundra, known for their nomadic lifestyles, had to send their children to boarding schools for months at a time in order to get educated. The separation was problematic for both kids and their parents. Now the regional teachers have become nomadic instead and follow the camps.
When a mother-bear is killed by hunters or chased away from the den, the bear cubs are doomed to die. But one family in Russia decided to change that... (team up with Irina Sedunova)
Kids with congenital hand deformities design their own 3D prostheses and get them for free. Motorica, the company that produces the appliances, is run by young entrepreneurs who figure out how to create the functional prostheses and use government or crowdfunding support to cover the expenses. About 70 kids received new hand prostheses over the past year.
